Purpose & Scope of Position

The Mechanical CAD/BIM Designer (Draughtsman) will be responsible for preparing accurate, coordinated, and high‑quality Mechanical services drawings for buildings. The role requires strong technical drafting skills, coordination capability, and adherence to internal quality standards for residential, commercial, hotel, and hospital projects.

Key Responsibilities

Drafting & BIM Modelling

  • Prepare detailed  Mechanical services drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
  • Develop and update:
    • Services layouts
    • Schematic drawings
    • Coordination drawings
  • Work on building typologies including:
    • Residential
    • Commercial
    • Hotels
    • Hospitals

 

Technical Coordination

  • Coordinate drawings with architectural and structural teams to ensure clash‑free outputs.
  • Understand structural systems and building constraints for accurate services detailing.
  • Incorporate design inputs, comments, and revisions from engineers and consultants.

 

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Perform a client-facing role, leading technical discussions and design presentations.
  • Manage and lead client interaction for technical delivery, ensuring design intent and expectations are met.
  • Coordinate with architects, consultants, and internal teams for integrated and clash-free design solutions.

 

Documentation & Delivery

  • Assist in preparing drawing packages for various project stages.
  • Ensure timely delivery of drawings as per project schedules.
  • Support implementation teams with updated drawings and revisions when required.

 

Drafting & BIM Coordination

  • Review and coordinate drawings/models to ensure accuracy, compliance, and constructability.
