Purpose & Scope of Position

Engineering Manager (EM) is responsible for engineering and design matters on the project and assists the project manager. An EM will fill 3 main roles during the execution of a project. These are Manager, Technical Leader and Communicator. The EM on a project is responsible for scope definition and manages the planning, resourcing and scheduling all the engineering related activities. In addition, the EM provides technical leadership, integrates the disciplines and resolves issues. The EM is responsible for delivery of all the technical deliverables to achieve the project objectives within the specified time frame and budget.

Experience

• Typically 15 years Plus of experience in a multi-disciplinary environment on major projects • Typically 3 years’ experience in managing design engineering teams working on major projects

Qualification

• Postgraduate or graduate in an engineering discipline • Registration as a professional engineer with the governing authority (preferable)

Job Description HVAC : For Clean Room and HVAC

Candidate to have working experience in Design Engineering ,Procurement and Project Experience as under :
Clean Room Architecture :
Clean Room iso class 5,6 ,7,8 ,materials specifications – Clean room Wall Panel , Ceiling panel ,Walkable Ceiling ,Suspension system , T Grid , Raised Metal Flooring , Air Shower , Pass Box , Gowning protocol . Clean room furnitures, Preparation of layout , BOQ
Clean Room HVAC Design : Pressure Zoning , Ahu Zoning , Heat Load Estimation , Room Book , Air Flow Diagram , Return air chase sizing .Awareness of fire zoning , design of smoke management system, understanding multiple services route and coordination , supporting arrangement
Clean Room HVAC Equipment : MAU , FFU , type of filters selection , DCC , Clean Room AHU selection , Dehumidifier selection ,air duct design and selection of accessories , ventilation system design .
Chilled Water system : Chiller selection , Pump selection , Cooling Tower selection , Other accessories ,Chilled water and Cooling water schematics , Chiller Plant layout , BOQ , Interfacing with Civil/Str , Architecture , Electrical , Instruments , Automation
Comfort AC Design/Other applications : Substation , Control Room ,Admn buildings , Equipment Rooms
Awareness of other HVAC Equipment /System : DX Unit , VRF Units , different types of fans , FCUs
Site Exposure : Clean Room execution sequence , validation document preparation , commissioning support
Preparation of Design Basis Report , Equipment selection , cost estimation report , interfacing with architecture , structure , el team . Interactions with OEM for equipment knowhow and material availability ,value engineering , attending meeting with multiple stakeholders from client side and capturing their requirement
Tendering , Proposing list of Prospective bidders ,Coordination with Bidders for TQ closure , Preparation of TBA , coordination with client (Technical & Commercial) for acceptance of TBA , attending KOM with Vendor , Finalising Master DCI , review and approving Vendor drawing , document , QAP , attending weekly review meetings ,
expediting approvals . Interfacing with Civil, Architecture ,El team for HVAC Input , participate in meeting to finalise coordinated layouts
Attending Shop inspection/FAT if required , Visiting site to resolve design related issues , reviewing Variation claims of Contractor and attending meeting to settle contractor claims
Support during Clean room commissioning /Chiller Plant , attending plug list related to HVAC system and update drawing and documents as required
Candidate should have experience in HAP , Pump Head calculations , Static Pressure calculations , Psychrometrics ,skills in operating autocad for drawing review , review of 3D Modelling , preparing power point presentations for client presentations or management review
Candidate must have working experience in electronic industry / Pharmaceutical sector/ Petrochemicals / oil and Gas or from consultancy background
Candidate with exposure to MEP services (Fire fighting , Water supply , Plumbing ) will be an added advantage.
Candidate to have experience in understanding Overall Project schedule and sequence of construction activities
