Purpose & Scope of Position

Civil engineering design activities for hydro power projects, ensuring technical excellence, compliance with international and national codes/standards, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery. The role involves managing a team of engineers, coordinating across disciplines, supporting business development, and ensuring client satisfaction in line with TCE’s quality and safety standards.

Experience

11-14 yeras of experience in Hydro Projects Civil Design

Qualification

B.E./B. Tech in Civil Engineering (mandatory). M. Tech/M.E. in Hydraulic Structures / Structural Engineering preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and validate design calculations, drawings, models, and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with IS codes, CWC guidelines, and international standards (ASCE, ACI, USBR, etc.).
• Drive adoption of latest design tools (STAAD Pro, PLAXIS, AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, BIM).
• Manage civil design deliverables for multiple hydro projects (feasibility, DPR, tender, and detailed design).
• Strong expertise in civil design of hydro projects (storage & run-of-river).
• Proficiency in structural analysis and numerical modeling software.
• Knowledge of hydraulic structures, rock mechanics, soil-structure interaction.
• Strong project management and leadership skills.
• Excellent written & verbal communication, client handling, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects under tight timelines.
