About Us
Purpose & Scope of Position
To ensure strict implementation of safety practices and statutory compliance on the civil construction site, aiming to prevent accidents, ensure health and safety of all workers, and promote a strong safety culture across the project.
Experience
Minimum 8–12 years of experience in EHS/Safety roles in civil infrastructure or industrial construction projects in any sector – Infrastructure, Real Estate, Power, Steel or Chemical
Involvement in at least 2 significant major project similar in size and scope as delivered by TCE
Qualification
- Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Civil preferred) with Advance Diploma in Industrial Safety (ADIS, recognized by a State Government or AICTE.
- Minimum 8–12 years of experience in EHS/Safety roles in civil infrastructure or industrial construction projects.
- Knowledge of relevant safety laws, IS codes, OSHA / ISO 45001 standards.
- Certification in First Aid / Fire Fighting is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
1. Monitors overall job site health, safety and environment performance and verifies that contractors are protecting their workers at the job site.
2. Responsible for construction supervision and contract administration including supervision of contractors and their subcontractors for assigned portions of the project.
3. Proficient in implementing and monitoring safety measures for working at height, ensuring use of proper PPE, fall protection systems, and permit-to-work protocols.
4. Well-versed in erection safety procedures, including risk assessments, method statement reviews, and ensuring safe rigging and lifting practices.
5. Hands-on experience in identifying and mitigating electrical hazards, enforcing Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and ensuring safe installation and operation of temporary and permanent electrical systems.
6. Prepare and maintain safety documentation including incident reports, near-miss reports, safety observation reports, and risk assessments (JSA / HIRA).
7. Adept in conducting safety audits, toolbox talks, incident investigations, and coordinating with statutory authorities for compliance and inspections.
8. Strong track record of driving safety culture through employee training, hazard identification programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
9. Investigate incidents/accidents and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
10. Ensure emergency preparedness including mock drills, first-aid readiness, and fire safety.
11. Ensure compliance with local labour safety regulations, IS codes, and TCE's EHS Management System.
12. Support in achieving zero-incident goals and safety KPIs set for the project.
