Purpose & Scope of Position
Engineering Manager (EM) is responsible for engineering and design matters on the project and assists the project manager. An EM will fill 3 main roles during the execution of a project. These are Manager, Technical Leader and Communicator. The EM on a project is responsible for scope definition and manages the planning, resourcing and scheduling all the engineering related activities. In addition, the EM provides technical leadership, integrates the disciplines and resolves issues. The EM is responsible for delivery of all the technical deliverables to achieve the project objectives within the specified time frame and budget.

Full-time BE / BTech from AICTE/UGC Approved University.
Key Responsibilities
A) Air Conditioning System
- Calculations:
- Perform heat load calculations using Carrier E20, Hourly Load Profile, and HEVACOMP.
- Compute static pressure and pump head requirements.
- Select air conditioning systems, develop schemes, prepare BOQ, and estimate costs.
- Analyze HVAC input/output data and define requirements for heat load calculations and design development.
- Applications:
- Design for MCC rooms, control rooms, UPS/battery rooms, admin blocks, technical buildings, laboratories, industrial projects, chemical and petrochemical plants.
- Technical Awareness:
- Familiarity with Indian and international codes and standards.
- Knowledge of AC systems: DX, VRF, chillers—capacity, sizing, selection criteria, connected load, civil load data, operational space, and cost.
- Understanding refrigeration plants, refrigerant types, availability, and cost estimation.
- Design & Documentation:
- Develop airflow diagrams, schematic drawings, layout plans, plant room layouts, P&IDs, piping layouts, BOQ, and cost estimates.
- Perform clash detection with other services and structural elements; review integrated layouts.
- Procurement & Vendor Coordination:
- Prepare enquiry documents with scope, specifications, datasheets, and price schedules.
- Review offers, perform technical tabulation, raise queries, and recommend vendors.
- Conduct KOM with selected vendors, review drawings/documents, integrate multidisciplinary comments, and coordinate civil foundation and cut-out drawings.
- Validate civil/structural drawings before release and manage HVAC-related changes in BOQ or scope.
B) Ventilation System
- Calculate air quantities for dry ventilation and air washer systems.
- Select fans/air washers, determine sizes, load lists, civil load data, utilities, and cost estimates.
- Guide and review work of a team of six engineers across multiple projects.
C) Project Management
- Interpret MS Project schedules, identify critical paths, and prepare HVAC drawing/document lists.
- Participate in design and project review meetings to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Support cost and time control measures.
- Develop duct layouts, airflow diagrams, BOQ, and cost estimates; perform clash detection and integrated layout reviews.
- Coordinate with civil/structural teams for HVAC-related drawings and vendor approvals.
