About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Billing Engineer to support the execution of a large-scale industrial project in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra. The candidate will be responsible for quantity estimation, contractor billing, measurement verification, reconciliation, and coordination with project stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate processing of bills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and certify contractor running account (RA) bills and final bills.
  • Verify quantities executed at site against approved drawings, BOQ, and work orders.
  • Perform quantity take-offs and measurements for civil and structural works.
  • Maintain records of measurements, billing documents, and payment certificates.
  • Reconcile quantities with contractors and site execution teams.
  • Coordinate with planning, site engineering, and project management teams for billing-related activities.
  • Monitor work progress and ensure billing is in line with project milestones.
  • Track variations, extra items, and change orders and maintain relevant records.
  • Prepare material reconciliation statements and quantity tracking reports.
  • Support cost control and budget monitoring activities.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms, project procedures, and documentation requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of MIS reports related to project progress and billing status.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of quantity estimation, billing, and measurement principles.
  • Knowledge of civil construction methodologies and industrial project execution.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and ERP/project management systems.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, BOQs, contracts, and technical specifications.
  • Experience in preparing RA bills, final bills, and reconciliation statements.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Good communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in large industrial projects, beneficiation plants, mining projects, steel plants, power plants, or infrastructure projects.
  • Exposure to EPC/PMC project environments.
  • Experience in contractor bill certification and quantity reconciliation.
  • Familiarity with project cost monitoring and contract administration.
