About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Precast Engineer to oversee quality control, inspection, and production monitoring of precast concrete components for a large-scale industrial project in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in precast production, quality assurance, inspection, and compliance with project specifications and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and inspect precast concrete production activities at casting yards and fabrication facilities.
  • Verify compliance with approved shop drawings, project specifications, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and quality requirements.
  • Inspect reinforcement placement, embedded items, inserts, sleeves, lifting anchors, and cast-in components before concrete placement.
  • Witness concrete batching, sampling, slump testing, temperature monitoring, and compressive strength testing activities.
  • Verify formwork dimensions, tolerances, alignment, and cleanliness prior to casting.
  • Ensure proper curing methods are followed and curing records are maintained.
  • Conduct dimensional inspections of completed precast elements and verify compliance with specified tolerances.
  • Monitor handling, lifting, storage, transportation, and installation readiness of precast components.
  • Inspect precast units for cracks, spalling, deformation, damage, and other defects before dispatch and upon site arrival.
  • Ensure lifting arrangements, rigging practices, and handling procedures comply with approved safety requirements.
  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project teams to resolve quality and production-related issues.
  • Maintain inspection records, quality reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action documentation.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • 8 to 12 years of experience in precast concrete construction, industrial projects, infrastructure projects, or large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of precast production processes, concrete technology, and quality control procedures.
  • Experience in inspection, testing, and quality assurance of precast concrete components.
  • Knowledge of relevant construction codes, standards, and quality systems.
  • Familiarity with shop drawings, method statements, ITPs, and QA/QC documentation.
  • Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in industrial plant, mining, steel, power, or infrastructure projects will be preferred.
