Experience: 8-12 Years
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
Mandatory Certification: ADIS (Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety) or PDIS (Post Diploma in Industrial Safety) from a State Government-recognized institute

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Safety Engineer to support a large-scale industrial construction project in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra. The candidate will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enforcing Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards across all construction activities to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor site safety procedures in line with project and statutory requirements.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments across construction work fronts.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations, permits, and safety management systems.
• Identify unsafe acts and conditions and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, awareness programs, and training sessions for site personnel.
• Monitor high-risk activities such as working at height, lifting operations, excavation, confined space entry, and heavy equipment operations.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents; prepare detailed reports and implement corrective measures.
• Coordinate with contractors, construction teams, and project stakeholders to promote a strong safety culture.
• Maintain HSE documentation, records, safety statistics, and compliance reports.
• Ensure proper usage and maintenance of PPEs and other safety equipment at site.
• Participate in emergency response planning, drills, and crisis management activities.
• Support management in achieving project safety objectives and zero-incident targets.

Desired Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of construction safety standards, industrial safety practices, and statutory compliance requirements.
• Experience in large industrial, mining, beneficiation, steel, power, or infrastructure projects.
• Sound understanding of hazard identification, risk assessment, and permit-to-work systems.
• Knowledge of emergency preparedness, incident investigation, and root cause analysis.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and preparation of HSE reports.
