Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
Experience: 8 to 12 Years

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to support the execution of a large-scale industrial project in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra. The role involves overseeing electrical construction, installation, testing, commissioning, and quality assurance activities while ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and monitor electrical construction and installation activities across the project.
  • Review electrical drawings, specifications, layouts, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and technical documents.
  • Oversee installation of substations, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, PCCs, cable trays, lighting systems, and associated electrical infrastructure.
  • Monitor cable laying, termination, earthing, and lightning protection system works.
  • Ensure execution of electrical works as per approved drawings, quality standards, and project schedules.
  • Coordinate with mechanical, civil, instrumentation, and project teams for smooth project execution.
  • Witness and review testing and commissioning activities of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Verify contractor work progress and ensure adherence to approved methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, electrical standards, and safety requirements.
  • Support project planning, progress monitoring, and resource coordination activities.
  • Review contractor bills, measurements, and quantity reconciliation related to electrical works.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and highlight project risks or delays.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems used in industrial plants and infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in installation and commissioning of HT/LT electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of transformers, switchgear, MCCs, PCCs, VFDs, UPS systems, DG sets, and power distribution networks.
  • Familiarity with earthing, lightning protection, illumination systems, and electrical safety practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, SLDs, and technical specifications.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project management tools.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in beneficiation plants, mining projects, steel plants, power plants, cement plants, or other large industrial facilities.
  • Exposure to electrical construction and commissioning activities in EPC or PMC environments.
  • Experience in managing contractors and coordinating multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Familiarity with electrical codes, standards, and safety requirements applicable to industrial projects.
